When Mr. Pinoy was in the Philippines, he studied Thai. More than ten years ago before he came to Siam, he learned to say, “Sawadee krap!” which means, “Greetings!”, “Chan Rak Khun.” which means, “I Love You.” And he could say the numbers one to ten in Thai. Wow!

Following the success of the recently concluded Filipino Teacher’s Conference in Chiang Mai last February 23, 2008, the ACT (Association of Cordillerans in Thailand), the FFC (Filipinos and Friends in Chiang Rai), the FBFT (Federation of Boholanos and Friends in Thailand) and the Siam Pinoy community are gearing up for the next Filipino Teacher’s Conference.

The IDEA of this local conference is to IDENTIFY YOUR LEADERS who will be representing your area/province/schools to the NATIONAL CONFERENCE. It is expected that your LEADERS should have a copy of RESOLUTIONS to the problems/concerns/issues concerning teaching in your locality or in Thailand as a whole.
